Rhian Hatton and Greg Pickering met at medical school at Bristol University a decade before their wedding day.
The pair, aged 30 and 32, were engaged after nine years together, which despite the wait came as a surprise to Rhian. “Greg organised a surprise trip to Barcelona and after a day wandering around the old town he lead me to a small quiet square with a fountain at its centre and proposed there,” smiles Rhian.
The now qualified doctors celebrated their country chic wedding on September 12, 2015 in the presence of 100 guests. Rhian said the Stone Barn in Cotswolds was the ideal setting: “Quite literally 10 years in the making we found the perfect, beautiful and secluded spot surround by rolling fields and filled with our closest friends and family.”
The bride says the light flooding the barn filled with beautiful flowers is a memory that will stay with her and Greg forever. “We are also grateful that the sun decided to make an appearance during the day after a shower filled morning,” says Rhian.
The couple honeymooned in South Africa and Mozambique.
