The glamour of the 1920s was met with good old-fashioned rock ‘n’ roll at Jessica Traynor and Mike Lambert’s Great Gatsby wedding.
The Stockport pair first met in 2008 when Jessica, 31, was in the crowd when Mike’s band was playing. They met up at another gig the next week and have since been inseparable, with music – and their shared love of Led Zepplin – an important part of their lives.
The couple had their son Jackson, before Mike, 28, got down on one knee at Manchester’s Christmas markets. “Twinkly lights galore!” he says.
The twinkly lights continued “under the stars” at their venue, Heaton House Farm, which has a magical starry ceremony space. The couple walked down a candlelit aisle to Led Zepplin’s The Rain Song on November 29, 2015 in front of 120 guests.
“Seeing each other at the end of the aisle, we both knew that this incredible moment was completely meant to be,” Jessica says.
“Our wedding was filled with love, laughter and lots of rock ‘n’ roll. From our bridal party and all our guests to the venue dressing, we definitely pulled off Great Gatsby glamour.”

The candlelit ceremony had a touch of Great Gatsby glamour thanks to striking candle holders and gold chairs.
Guests also dressed in their best black tie in keeping with the 1920s theme.
There was plenty of glamour and sparkle at the well-styled reception.
“I love that Mike puts me and Jackson first in everything he does and to make us happy is his number one priority,” Jessica says.
“I have loved Jess from the first moment I saw her, she is hard working an amazing friend and brilliant mum,” Mike says.
