The summer wedding of Felicity Foxton, 27, and Jonathan Ellison, 29, was equally traditional as it was laid back.
The early morning ceremony on August 13, 2016 took place in a church at their local village. “This was important to us as we see ourselves and our future family living in the village for many years to come,” smiles the bride. “The church was located in the grounds of Knebworth House, so we were lucky enough to have the beautiful stately home as a backdrop.”
A reception at Hexton Manor followed with their 83 guests. “We had the drinks reception on the lawn in front of the manor house, followed by the wedding breakfast in the marquee in the walled garden,” explains Felicity. “The styling of the marquee was simple and elegant, allowing the flower centrepieces and the pink and grey colour scheme to really stand out.”
Their photographer Sally Forder praised the couple’s relaxed approach on the day. “Even though their wedding was fairly traditional I also felt it was laid back, everything flowed so smoothly and this allowed me to capture in our well known candid style with ease.”

Felicity’s gown by Morgan Davies London was a stylish choice suited to the day’s elegant surroundings
“Jonny and I met at Nottingham Trent University in 2008,” recalls Felicity.
The groom and his crew’s brown leather shoes were purchased at John Lewis.
“Felicity and Jonny were one of the loveliest couples I had the honour to work for last year,” photographer Sally says.
“Family is especially important to us, so we added a personal touch by displaying wedding photos of both parents and grandparents by our guest book,” says the bride.
“wedding day was the happiest day of our lives,” recalls Felicity.
