On their seven-year anniversary, Sean Fletcher asked what time Amy-Jo Morris would be home – which in hindsight should’ve been a clue something magical was about to occur.
When Amy-Jo, 27, arrived at the house, the blinds were drawn. She first stumbled upon a lantern with a card that said ‘read me’. Inside was a long love message, ending with “If you’re ready for the next chapter, come and find me.”
The living room was filled with hundreds of tea lights. Amy-Jo then followed a path through to the kitchen that displayed red roses and photos of the pair throughout their years together. There, she found Sean, 28, on one knee and surrounded by yet more candles.
The Welsh pair ambitiously gave themselves six months to plan their wedding. On April 8, 2017 Amy-Jo and Sean said ‘I do’ among 30 day guests and 70 evening guests at their romantic vintage wedding held at Berwick Lodge, Bristol.
Amy-Jo advises couples embarking on the same journey to “relax and embrace every second. People will tell you the day flies by, but you don’t understand how true that is until you’ve actually got married!”

Amy-Jo’s gorgeous champagne peep-toe heels were purchased from Pink Paradox London, and her bridesmaids’ shoes from John Lewis.
Though the venue, Berwick Lodge, was chosen so Amy-Jo’s autistic brother could attend, unfortunately he was too unwell the week before and couldn’t make it. However, he was honoured through photos around the venue, and several mentions and toasts during the speeches.
The pair spent their wedding night at the Berwick Lodge in what Amy-Jo describes as “the most beautifully decorated room you’ve ever seen. It had an amazing balcony overlooking the gardens.”
“The day was full of (happy!) tears,” says Amy-Jo. “There wasn’t a dry eye in sight – especially from the groom.”
The pair wanted everything to be classic, elegant, and ‘very bridal’. They achieved this by sticking to a colour palette of ivory, champagne, and dusky pinks.
Sean donned a grey tails suit with an ivory silk cravat and waistcoat from Dyfed Menswear.
Amy-Jo wore a gorgeous Ivory & co. hair comb to complete her bridal look.
“Our wedding was truly ‘us’ from beginning to end,” says Amy-Jo. “Romantic, intimate, and classic.”
