Imagine having you get married at Polhawn, the Fort and gardens will be exclusively yours to share with friends and family for a whole weekend or a midweek break. With breathtaking sea views all around, Polhawn Fort is Cornwall's most spectacular wedding venue.
You can get married amidst the splendour of our unique historic and romantic Napoleonic Hall, or outside in our Summer House overlooking our wide lawns and the sea beyond.
Polhawn Fort is an unusual and romantic wedding venue on the south coast of Cornwall in Whitsand Bay, near Mount Edgcumbe, round the corner from Plymouth, and just along the coast from Looe, Polperro, Fowey, Mevagissey and St Mawes and the Rame Peninsula, overlooking the sea at Whitsand Bay, and the long distance South West Coast Path runs directly behind the grounds of the Fort. From Rame Head you can look across the entrance to Plymouth Sound towards Wembury and Newton Ferrers, past Burgh Island towards stylish Salcombe.
Polhawn Fort brings you a stunningly beautiful coastal location in Cornwall, and an extraordinary original Napoleonic Fort with huge views across the sea and the fabulous idea that you can have this deeply romantic historic venue exclusively to yourselves, for a whole weekend or midweek, to create your unique wedding dream.
We have just got back from the most amazing week of our lives. Loved every single minute of it! It has to be the most beautiful wedding venue.. We didn't want to leave..Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to making it so special.. And to Sarah & Lucy from the Round Kitchen.. Incredible food!! Want to come back again for a reunion!
The location, views and venue itself are simply stunning. Our wedding day was amazing and all our guests had a fabulous time. The management and the staff were all so helpful and pleasant. Wonderful people and fantastic venue.
We got married here March last year and it was amazing! The venue and setting are perfect. Loved being able to have close family in the same place and other family and friends stayed local but relaxed at the fort with us throughout the week.
